Saawan Songs: Saawan Ki Raaton Mein

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar turns 85 today. We celebrate the day with a lovely duet from "Prem Patra" (1962). This is one of the lesser known films produced and directed by Bimal Roy. It is an emotional drama with several twists and turns. Shashi Kapoor and Sadhana played the lead roles.

Saawan Songs: Saawan Ke Jhoole Pade

A very sweet duet from "Pyaar Ki Pyaas" (1961) today. This was a drama about a couple and their adopted daughter. It featured Shreekant and Nishi in lead roles. The daughter was played by Honey Irani. It would have been nice to see the video, but I could not find it.
